New Seaver yacht range by Bernd Weel launched with unique ownership model

New Dutch yacht brand Seaver Yachts has unveiled its first range of yachts spanning from 20- to 30-metres, alongside an offering of a unique ownership model. Founded by experienced yacht owners Simon Schilder and Mike Verweij alongside designer Bernd Weel and project lead Julian van Santen, Seaver has launched with a line-up of five yachts across two distinct model lines: the Nordic 65 and 80, alongside the Azure 65, 80 and 95. The new brand was conceived to relaunch a selection of Bernd Weel’s original yacht designs under the Seaver name. Future models will be constructed at Dutch shipyard, Altena Yachting.

The creative force behind the Seaver range is Weel Sluijter Studio, which was co-founded in 2024 by Bernd Weel and Jim Sluijter. Rather than operating as a traditional shipyard, Seaver establishes itself as a partner, “supporting clients from concept through construction, delivery, and into an exclusive ownership collective.” According to the company, the model aims to address common challenges associated with yacht ownership by bringing together independent specialists under a single coordinated structure.

Nordic

The two ranges have been developed with different cruising styles in mind. The Nordic line, comprising 20- and 24-metre models, is tailored towards colder climates and extended stays onboard. Intending to create a residential feel at sea, her interior embraces a villa-style design featuring expansive glazing and a generous headroom. A large retractable sunroof draws in natural light and airflow throughout the yacht’s living spaces.

Azure

Meanwhile, the Azure range, first available with 24 metres with 29- and 20-metre editions currently underway, has been conceived for Mediterranean-style cruising, placing greater emphasis on outdoor living. The yacht features expansive flybridges and exterior layouts arranged around lounging, dining and socialising, alongside shaded and open-air spaces distributed across the decks. Moreover, owners will have an option to include a Jacuzzi into her sundeck configuration.

Across both ranges, Seaver yachts are constructed with lightweight aluminium hulls designed to improve cruising efficiency and manoeuvrability while maintaining onboard comfort. Each yacht also incorporates a hydraulic tender platform and a full-beam watersports garage. Moreover, each vessel’s layout is configurable for either owner-operator use or a fully crewed operation. Inside, the yacht range embodies a warm contemporary aesthetic defined by natural timber finishes, muted fabrics and integrated ambient lighting. Open-plan saloons optimise flexibility, while full-height windows introduce abundant natural light throughout.

“Our approach is driven by purity and creativity,” explained Weel. “We aim to distill each concept to its most essential elements –never overdesigned, though always distinctive for each project.”

An official launch event for the Seaver brand is scheduled to take place on 27 June 2026.
