About Seaver
Our story
Simon Schilder and Mike Verweij, two experienced yacht owners, joined forces with Bernd Weel, the original designer, and Julian van Santen, the original project lead, to relaunch Weel’s select models under the new brand, Seaver. The Dutch brand was born out of experience and a shared conviction that yacht building and ownership could be approached differently. Starting from the initial concept and design, through construction, and into an exclusive ownership experience with a dedicated aftercare team and community, Seaver supports its clients for life.
Seaver presents five yachts across two distinctive lines, ranging from 20 to 30 metres in length. The two lines are designed and engineered for different types of cruising. The Nordic range, comprising a 65-foot and an 80-foot model, is carefully considered for colder climates. Designed as a villa at sea, the interior spaces are vast, with volumes and headroom that rival much larger vessels. Extensive glazing, including a large retractable sunroof, floods the interior with natural light, maximises airflow, and ensures uninterrupted views at sea. The Azure range, initially available at 80 feet, with 95- and 65-foot iterations currently under development, features an expansive flybridge with deck layouts tailored for Mediterranean cruising and living. The generous exterior spaces offer multiple lounging areas, both shaded and open, as well as an al fresco dining area on the aft deck. An optional Jacuzzi can also be installed on the broad sun deck.
Across both ranges, Seaver yachts are constructed with lightweight aluminium hulls for efficient cruising and enhanced manoeuvrability, without compromising stability or comfort. Each yacht also features a hydraulic tender platform and a full-beam water sports garage. Every Seaver is designed around the onboard experience, equally suited to owner-operated or a fully crewed operation.
Seaver’s client-centred model extends well beyond delivery. Owners are welcomed into the My Seaver Community, with benefits ranging from exclusive events to comprehensive after-sales care. Every stage of ownership is considered, from concept discussions to lifetime maintenance, ensuring clarity, confidence, and continuity for clients.

Julian van Santen – Co-Founder & General Manager
With deep roots in the Dutch yachting industry, Julian plays a key role in connecting the technical team with all project stakeholders. His engineering background, combined with a practical, solution-driven approach, helps keep every stage of the design and build process aligned and moving forward. As the main point of contact for both the shipyard and the owner’s team, Julian provides clarity, continuity, and calm throughout each project.
Bernd Weel – Co-Founder & Designer
Bernd is an award-winning Dutch designer known for his considered approach to yacht and product design. His work balances technical precision with a clear sense of beauty, functionality, and purpose. Bernd played a key role in shaping the Seaver designs, guiding both the interior and exterior design with a focus on clarity, balance, and elevated simplicity.
Mike Verweij – Co-Founder & Advisor
Mike Verweij is a pioneer in developing business concepts, strategies, and investment models. He is a visionary with a vast portfolio of ventures, where he has translated strategy into tangible and sustainable results. He blends his commercial drive with a deep appreciation of boating. As the owner of one of our yachts, he contributes valuable hands-on experience and a keen eye for quality, functionality, and overall experience to the organization.
Simon Schilder – Co-Founder & Advisor
Simon Schilder began his career as a seasoned fisherman. Following an accident aboard a fishing vessel, he was forced to change direction and, through his network, entered the interior finishing sector. His exceptional entrepreneurial talent quickly became evident. With a sharp instinct for opportunity and a forward-thinking vision, he transformed the company into a national market leader within a relatively short time. As the owner of one of our yachts, he contributes a pronounced attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
